About The Position

The Adult Outpatient Clinical Supervisor serves as a supervisor working within the Adult Behavioral Health Team to ensure that mental health treatment services and programs for adults meet applicable standards as Adapt aspires to increase both the health and safety of our community. The Supervisor endeavors to promote recovery, resiliency, wellness, independence, and safety for clientele through supervision of staff and direct services provided in accordance with the agency mission and vision. This position provides on-going oversight and supervision to those providing various services, and provides clinical supervision to staff working toward licensure, and supports to promote: 1) the welfare of clientele; 2) the professional development of staff; 3) compliance, integration, and quality improvement in provision of services and supports; 4) consultation, education, and support to staff, clientele and their supports, in addition to community partners. The Clinical Supervisor will also provide clinically appropriate treatment to clients based on mental health assessment and treatment plans. Treatment includes initial assessments and evaluations, scheduled therapy appointments, case management services, education of clients and family members, and provision of group sessions.

Requirements

  • LCSW, LPC or LMFT in the State of Oregon required.
  • Must be 21+ and possess a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Participate in hiring, training, supervision, evaluations, resource management and professional development of staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal, and agency standards. Tasks include but are not limited to provision of an LQMHP signature as is required for unlicensed staff to meet state requirements (e.g., ISSP).
  • Participate in activities that support Quality Improvement and result in better outcomes for clientele.
  • Provide support for integrated services; work with community to establish priorities; coordinate activities between clients and community resources; assist in referral of clients from one agency or treatment to another. Provide mental health consultation to community partners.
  • Provide a variety of services and supports to clientele.
  • In consultation and collaboration with Program Director, identifies expectations, evaluates outcomes and implements Performance Development Plans (PDP) and Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) for staff. Participates in development of performance evaluations. Manage time effectively to meet competing priorities. Model and support efficient planning and organization as related to the provision of high-quality clinical services. The supervisor will model key elements of professionalism such as punctuality, consistent attendance, appropriate dress, calm demeanor and positive, respectful communication. Provide clinical supervision to all staff commensurate to each position and in accordance with the Oregon Administrative Rules.
  • Maintain all board requirements, establish schedules, and complete all documentation as required.
  • Serve as liaison/consultant between Behavioral Health and other community providers.
  • Will be required to achieve productivity standards as set forth and outlined by Compass Behavioral Health Administration.
  • Work is performed within agency policy and procedure, federal, state and county statutes, rules, regulations, guidelines and ordinances; in compliance with HIPAA and in accordance with Compass Behavioral Health Ethics Policies and Procedures; in addition to those guidelines set forth by each clinician’s discipline.
  • Work including supervision, to reflect reduction of risk, increased safety, and sound judgment on day-to-day activities.
  • Consistent, effective communication (all forms) and the ability to work well independently and with others is required.
