About The Position

Frontier Behavioral Health, a non-profit organization with over 100 years of presence in Spokane, provides evidence-based treatment to adults, youth, and seniors dealing with various behavioral health issues. As a Trauma-Informed Care Organization, FBH is committed to client recovery and meaningful lives. The organization offers a variety of client services including outpatient, inpatient, community outreach, crisis services, and partnerships with schools and law enforcement. Adult Outpatient Services (AOS) specifically uses a person-centered model for individuals 18 or older experiencing mental health issues, aiming to pair treatment objectives with evidence-based clinical practices. AOS emphasizes therapeutic relationships to promote resiliency and recovery, offering services such as Individual Therapy, Group Therapy, Psychoeducational Classes, Special population consultations and evaluations, Case Management, Psychiatric medication management, and Peer Support Specialists. This Clinical Supervisor role involves direct supervision of assigned clinical staff, direct service to adults and/or children and families, ensuring customer satisfaction, participating in program planning and evaluation, training and supervising staff for compliance, providing consultation and education, and direct case management as needed. The supervisor also participates in peer review, supervision, intake and diagnostic staffing, and various meetings, while monitoring and facilitating communication among staff, families, and interagency partners.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a behavioral health related field.
  • Two years post master’s degree professional experience in clinical work and coordination of treatment services.
  • Meet the requirements of a mental health professional as defined by WAC 246-341-0200 which means at the time of offer must have applied for one of the following WA State Department of Health credentials and showing "pending" on the their website: Licensed Agency Affiliated Counselor (LAAC) OR License Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) OR Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker Associate (LICSWA) OR Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA) AND THEN Credential must be active with DOH within 6 months of hire date unless currently meeting preferred licensure credential requirement below.
  • Must have an unrestricted and valid driver’s license, active car insurance and must be willing to use their personal vehicle in the course of work.

Nice To Haves

  • Active DOH licensure (e.g., LMHC, LICSW, LMFT) in the State of Washington (Licensed employees have the title Supervisor II).
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision to assigned clinical staff.
  • Provide direct service to adults and/or children and families as assigned by Director.
  • Facilitate internal and external customers satisfaction and responsiveness.
  • Participate in planning and evaluation of the program.
  • Train and supervise staff to ensure compliance and implementation of service goals and objectives.
  • Provide consultation and education to other FBH staff and to the community.
  • Provide direct case management services as required.
  • Participate in peer review, supervision, intake and diagnostic staffing’s, in-house educational and administrative meetings as directed.
  • Monitor and facilitate communication of staff, families we serve, interagency and treatment/client interaction.
  • Utilize monitoring tools to ensure staff’s compliance with contract and WAC requirements for the Apple Health Plan Managed Care Organizations, the SCRBH (ASO), DOH, HCA, or other Contractor monitoring.
  • Provide direct clinical services as required.
  • Maintain and enhance customer service to ensure that both external and internal customers of FBH have a positive experience at FBH.
  • Work closely as necessary with other community resources, professionals and systems (e.g., law enforcement, DCFS) to support quality care and facilitate a collaborative partnership between FBH and other such entities.
  • Ensure all assigned staff perform FBH charting requirements, correspondence, Workday, and other paperwork in a complete and timely manner.
  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all FBH staff.
  • Understand and adhere to, and ensure all assigned staff comply with, all state WAC and RCW requirements and FBH policies and procedures.
  • Serve in an advisory capacity to the Program Administrator and Director in employment and assignment of agency personnel, including important issues within or pertaining to the agency and/or program.
  • Ensure equal opportunity for all assigned staff with regards to work assignments, training, promotions and other conditions and privileges of employment.
  • Interview, select and train new employees.
  • Plan, assign and direct work.
  • Mentor and coach employees, addressing performance or conduct issues as needed.
  • Address complaints and resolve problems.
  • May be assigned to supervise interns.
  • Provide supervision for licensure when eligible to be a DOH approved supervisor.
  • Requires travel to see clients in the community and travel between work sites either via FBH owned Vehicles and/or personal vehicle.
  • Other duties as assigned.
