Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing, or a closely related field with at least three (3) years of substance use disorder treatment experience and one (1) year of supervisory experience OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing, or a closely related field with at least four (4) years of substance use disorder treatment experience and two (2) years of supervisory experience AND
  • Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP) certified by the Missouri Credentialing Board or applicable State Board with four (4) years of substance use disorder treatment experience and three (3) years of supervisory experience OR
  • Missouri‑licensed counselor, psychologist, or physician with at least one (1) year of substance use disorder treatment experience and one (1) year of supervisory experience
  • Must meet Missouri requirements as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)
  • Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance required
  • Ability to provide effective clinical supervision, training, and performance feedback
  • Strong knowledge of evidence‑based practices, regulatory standards, and quality improvement principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and community partners
  • Required certifications and trainings must be attained and maintained as outlined by policy

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily clinical operations to ensure high‑quality, recovery‑oriented substance use disorder and mental health services
  • Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and coaching to assigned team members, fostering professional growth and strong clinical practice
  • Facilitate weekly clinical case staffing, diagnostic disposition meetings, and treatment planning discussions
  • Conduct intakes, assessments, and individual, family, and group therapy as required to meet program needs
  • Monitor service delivery to ensure appropriate frequency, intensity, and clinical justification of services
  • Review clinical documentation, progress notes, and client records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Coordinate services and collaborate with community partners, referral sources, and external agencies
  • Complete monthly and quarterly chart reviews and track quality improvement indicators, addressing deficiencies as needed
  • Develop and maintain program schedules that meet client needs while respecting client rights and responsibilities
  • Support budget oversight by monitoring service utilization, expenditures, and fiscal projections in collaboration with leadership
  • Ensure uninterrupted program coverage through staff scheduling, coverage planning, and time‑off approvals
  • Respond to crisis situations and ensure incident reporting is completed in accordance with policy
  • Promote team communication, address concerns or complaints, and support continuous quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintain awareness of organizational goals and contribute to long‑ and short‑term program objectives
