About The Position

FirstHealth of the Carolinas, Moore Regional Hospital, located in Pinehurst, North Carolina, is seeking a clinical pharmacist for its inpatient pharmacy. This position is primarily based at the Moore Campus and involves providing exceptional patient care. The role is 40 hours per week, including one weekend per month and one evening shift weekly. While primarily in-person, occasional remote opportunities may be available. The pharmacy department is highly automated, utilizing Epic EMR, Omnicell automated dispensing cabinets, and I.V. workflow management systems.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Pharmacy
• Currently licensed by the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy
• Must acquire sufficient continuing education credits to maintain license
• Thorough knowledge of pharmaceuticals and contemporary pharmacy practice
• Attention to detail is required to ensure proper interpretation of clinical information
• Interpersonal communication skills are imperative

Nice To Haves

• Completed a pharmacy residency

Responsibilities

• Order verification
• Multi-disciplinary rounds
• Initiation and follow-up of pharmacokinetic monitoring
• Assisting providers with antibiotic selection and drug information
• Organize activities that are executed via established procedures and techniques within the pharmacy department
• Manage a fast-paced and high-volume workload and stressful situations
• Prioritize tasks and follow through to see that all tasks are completed
• Maintain professional competency appropriate to the services provided and attend to the needs of all populations served
• Effectively communicate with both professional customers and patients utilizing our services
