About The Position
Ascension is seeking a Clinical Specialty Pharmacist to join their team in Austin, TX. This full-time position involves analyzing medication orders to identify and resolve drug-related problems, preparing and dispensing medications for high-acuity care areas, providing clinical consultations to medical staff, mentoring pharmacy technical staff, and educating patients on medication regimens. Requirements
- Pharmacist credentialed from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy required.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.

Responsibilities
- Analyze medication orders to identify and resolve potential drug-related problems, ensuring patient safety and therapeutic efficacy.
- Prepare and dispense medications for high-acuity care areas, including oncology, cardiology, and nuclear medicine.
- Provide clinical consultations to medical staff to optimize medication management and therapy selection.
- Mentor and oversee pharmacy technical staff to maintain efficient, high-quality operations.
- Educate patients on medication regimens to improve understanding and health outcomes.
