About The Position
The Visionworks Clinical Specialist (CS), also known as an Optometric Assistant, is the face of the exam practice and helps ensure a positive patient journey. The specialist is trained and knowledgeable in eye health and preliminary testing, optics, products and services, and managed vision care. They guide patients through the initial steps of the Visionworks experience and help address their eye exam needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent related job experience.
Nice To Haves
- Related customer or patient experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducting preliminary testing.
- Introduce patients to the optometrist and provide the optometrist with important patient information.
- Transition patients from the doctor to the sales floor and share relevant information with associates so they can recommend products and services that meet patients' eye care needs.
- Support daily exam-lane operations and patient experience goals, including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs.
