Clinical Specialist Pharmacist/ PRN / ICU/ED
About The Position
This position will function as a clinical expert in a specialty practice area (e.g. critical care, emergency medicine and other areas including oncology, transplant, critical care, nutrition support). Will rotate at least one weekend per month, in addition to covering open shifts in the Full-time Clinical Pharmacy Specialist schedule throughout the week. The Clinical Specialist Pharmacist functions as a clinical expert in a specialty practice area (e.g. oncology, transplant, critical care, and/or nutrition support). Assesses and evaluation drug therapy and makes recommendations as appropriate. Serves as a preceptor for students and residents and serves as a resource for pharmacists advancing their clinical skills.
Requirements
- Graduate of accredited school of pharmacy
- Eligible for Georgia Licensure
- Candidate is required to be licensed in Georgia prior to official start date
- ASHP-ACCREDITED PGY1 and PGY 2 residencies or equivalent experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required
