About The Position
Emory Healthcare is an academic medical center with a high acuity patient population. Our pharmacy staff work side by side with our fellow health care providers creating an interdisciplinary team approach to patient care. The Pharmacy at Emory’s goal is to provide patient- and-family centered medication management to the patients we serve and defining a new standard of care for humankind. Non-management positions - schedule may include weekend on-call requirements.
Requirements
- Graduate of accredited school of pharmacy.
- Eligible for Georgia Licensure.
- Candidate is required to be licensed in Georgia prior to official start date.
- ASHP-ACCREDITED PGY1 and PGY 2 residencies or equivalent experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
Nice To Haves
- BPS certified preferred.
Responsibilities
- Functions as a clinical expert in a specialty practice area (e.g. oncology, transplant, critical care, and/or nutrition support).
- Assesses and evaluation drug therapy and makes recommendations as appropriate.
- Serves as a preceptor for students and residents and serves as a resource for pharmacists advancing their clinical skills.
