This is a field-based role requiring the professional to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver's license is essential, and the role includes travel outside the territory. Medtronic's Neuroscience portfolio, specifically the Pelvic Health Operating Unit, focuses on improving the lives of people with neurological disorders, spine conditions, and chronic pain, as well as bladder and bowel control conditions through minimally invasive neuromodulation therapies. The Clinical Specialist supports the Pelvic Health group in surgical coverage, follow-up, support, troubleshooting, customer service, and education within a territory. Basic market development activities may also be involved. The role requires representing Medtronic during surgeries and implants, providing necessary equipment, demonstrating expertise in all aspects of implant, follow-up, and troubleshooting. Maintaining current product knowledge and educating physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff on technical matters related to products and therapies are key responsibilities. This includes coordinating one-on-one sessions, in-service education programs, seminars, and symposiums. The position also assists in training new employees and provides sales support, including completing necessary documentation and executing invoices. Maintaining open communication with district personnel, customers, and other Medtronic employees is crucial. The role contributes to regional and national project milestones and requires adherence to quality policies and procedures.
