About The Position

Medtronic is seeking a committed professional to join their Neuroscience portfolio, specifically within the Pelvic Health Operating Unit. This unit focuses on advancing care for patients with bladder and bowel control conditions through minimally invasive neuromodulation therapies. The role is field-based and remote, requiring the candidate to reside within the territory and travel to multiple accounts. The Clinical Specialist will support surgical coverage, follow-up, troubleshooting, customer service, and education within the assigned territory, with potential for basic market development. The position involves travel within and potentially outside the territory.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED AND a minimum of 6 years of patient care/clinical experience; or Associate’s Degree AND a minimum of 4 years of patient care/clinical experience; or Bachelor’s Degree AND a minimum of 2 years of patient care/clinical experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy.
• Driving record will be reviewed and considered as part of the application.
• Must be able to drive approximately 50% of the time within assigned territory and may require overnight travel.
• For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
• Candidates for roles below Principal level require unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.

• Preference will be given to qualified local candidates and candidates with experience in servicing medical personnel on product use.

Responsibilities

• Represents Medtronic Pelvic Health during surgeries and implants by providing all necessary equipment and products required for the implant.
• Demonstrates expertise in all aspects of implant, follow-up support and troubleshooting techniques (such as proper device selection, appropriate programming, correct implantation and testing of all device systems).
• Maintains current knowledge about assigned products and services as well as competitive products.
• Proactively identifies needs and teaches a broader level of caregivers and account employees for new and existing accounts.
• Educates and trains physicians, hospital personnel and office staff on technical matters relating to our products and therapies through one-on-one sessions, in-service education programs, seminars and/or outside symposiums.
• Assists district manager and in-house training department in education/training of new employees in the district (therapy consultants, clinical specialists, field clinical engineers, etc.).
• Provides sales support during or following cases such as completing the necessary documentation (for example: implant registration, temporary id cards, packing list) and is able to execute invoices in a variety of different situations.
• Places an order with customer service for pending purchase orders and product replacement.
• Maintains open and effective communication with all district personnel, customers and other Medtronic employees.
• Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects at the regional and/or national level.
• Understands all applicable quality policy/system items.
• Follows all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high quality work.
• Performs other related activities, as assigned.
