About The Position

The Clinical Social Worker provides social work services to hospital patients and their families to address psychosocial and environmental factors affecting healthy functioning and recovery. As a member of the interdisciplinary health care team, the role provides direct clinical services, including assessment, brief intervention, and coordination of services. The Clinical Social Worker develops a network of community agencies to facilitate referrals and assists in developing and implementing department policies, programs, and procedures.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
• Rhode Island Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
• LCSWs must obtain LICSW within three years of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a healthcare setting or hospital is strongly preferred.
• Rhode Island Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
