The Senior Clinical Social Worker provides advanced clinical care, program leadership, and strategic oversight for the Pediatric Hematology & Oncology Program at Mass General Brigham for Children. As a member of the interdisciplinary team, this role is responsible for delivering comprehensive psychosocial assessment, evidence-based intervention, crisis management, and ongoing support to children, adolescents, young adults up to age 22, and their families across the cancer care continuum—from diagnosis through treatment, survivorship, and bereavement. In addition to maintaining an independent clinical caseload, the Senior Clinical Social Worker leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of psychosocial, survivorship, bereavement, and family support programs that address the evolving needs of pediatric oncology patients and families. The Senior Clinical Social Worker serves as the psychosocial leader for the pediatric oncology program, partnering with multidisciplinary care teams and community organizations to ensure high-quality, family-centered care. The role provides clinical consultation to staff, oversight of the Resource Specialist, and identification of opportunities to improve patient and family experience through programming and quality improvement initiatives.
