About The Position
Queens-Long Island Renal Institute, located on the lobby level of the renowned Parker Jewish Institute for Healthcare and Rehabilitation in New Hyde Park, New York, is seeking a Full-Time Social Worker, with a strong background in Renal Social Work, to join our team of professionals. QLIRI provides state-of-the-art in-center hemodialysis treatment for kidney disease patients. Our experienced interdisciplinary team of nephrologists and renal nurses offer chronic dialysis services in a comfortable and modern setting. Located on the Queens-Nassau boarder, Queens-Long Island Renal Institute has a longstanding reputation for the finest quality of care, state-of-the-art technology and uncompromised dignity. The Social Worker provides services in the dialysis unit to patients and their families to support and maximize the social functioning and adjustment of the patient with End Stage Renal Disease.
Requirements
- Licensed Social Worker in New York State; LMSW required; LCSW a plus.
- At least two (2) years of prior work experience as a Social Worker.
- Prior experience as a Dialysis Social Worker or working with dialysis patients.
