The Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) is recruiting for a Clinical Social Worker 3 located in Las Vegas, NV. The Clinical Social Worker III position is critical to the operations of Desert Willow Treatment Center. Duties of this position are significant for the compliance with regulatory entities. This position works directly with the Clinical Program Manager I and Clinical Program Manager II, Senior Psychiatrist, Psychiatric Caseworker II, Psychiatric Nurse II, and Psychologist. This position located at Desert Willow Treatment Center (DWTC) located in Las Vegas. DWTC is a locked, 24-hour inpatient facility that provides intensive treatment intervention for up to 20 Severely Emotionally Disturbed (SED) adolescents (ages 12 through 17). DWTC serves youths that are severely at-risk, many of whom have active suicidal and homicidal ideation or experiencing psychotic symptoms. This position provides direct care services to patients on the acute and residential units at DWTC and coordinates admissions; psychosocial assessment; 90-day reviews; treatment plans; individual, family and group therapy. This position is a major contributor in the Trans-disciplinary Treatment Team meetings and is integral to the presentation of treatment and determining service needs and treatment planning and implementation. A Clinical Social Worker III with DCFS (Department of Children and Family Services) in Nevada provides clinical supervision and personnel functions for mental health clinicians, substance abuse counselors, interns and support staff assigned to the youth parole/youth correctional facilities mental health programs. Meets with mental health clinicians, substance abuse counselors, interns and support staff for supervision at least as frequently as mandated by DCFS policies and procedures. Creates agenda and facilitates monthly all staff meetings. Provides Clinical supervision, assignment, triage of all cases in program. Triages all youth that come into the facilities for clinical appropriateness for treatment, risk and safety and makes assignments to teams. Reviews and approves or provides feedback for all clinical recommendations, diagnosis and safety plans at the completion of assessments, treatment plans, reviews, discharges, screenings and any other required. Provides leadership to clinical and administrative staff. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with leaders across OCFS programs and community partners. Provides on-call and crisis supervision to teams outside of regular business hours on a rotational and assigned schedule. Contributes to the goals and mission of Children's Mental Health. Develops and maintains policy and procedures for the program. Participates in and engage in team building with team, facilities and outreach to promote and strengthen community/facility partnerships. Identifies training needs and develops, provides, or secures appropriate training to support staff development and competency.
