The Division of Public and Behavioral Health: Rural Clinics (RC) has an opening for a Clinical Social Worker 2 in Gardnerville or Fallon, NV. This position can provide services at any of our Rural Clinics locations. RC provides an array of outpatient behavioral health services for both adults and children in clinics located across Rural Nevada. Services assist individuals to achieve self-sufficiency and recovery and follow Agency procedures and reimbursement guidelines. RC has been designated as a loan repayment site through the Health Research and Services Administration (HRSA) National Health Services Corps (NHSC). Any person providing specific services may be eligible to receive student loan repayment. This position provides individual and group counseling, case management, and other direct clinical interventions/services for people who are mentally ill and emotionally disturbed. Services include screening and assessments using standardized techniques to determine client eligibility for services and appropriate course of treatment at the least restrictive level possible. This position also works with the consumer and others to develop and monitor the treatment plan, including participation in team meetings and coordinating services among members of treatment team. Clinical Social Workers provide clinical services to clients/inmates in a residential, home, inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, correctional or similar setting. Clinical social work is defined as the application of methods, principles and techniques of case work, group work, community organization, administration, planning, consultation, research and psychotherapeutic methods and techniques to persons, families and groups to facilitate the diagnosis and treatment of family issues, mental and emotional conditions, illnesses and disorders, and developmental delays.
