About The Position

As a Clinical Services Manager at Insulet Corporation, a global leader in diabetes care, you will be instrumental in advancing our patient-centric mission. This role focuses on fostering collaboration to simplify life for individuals managing diabetes. You will serve as the primary clinical expert in the field, responsible for training healthcare providers and guiding them in the integration of Insulet’s innovative Omnipod® products into their patient care strategies. Your responsibilities extend beyond basic training; you will delve into the clinical goals of providers and the specific needs of patients to develop customized approaches that significantly improve outcomes. The role involves working in various environments including HCP offices, clinics, home offices, and travel by car.

Requirements

  • Associate degree
  • 2+ years of related clinical experience
  • Professional, up-to-date credentials and/or certifications (Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), Registered Dietitian (RD), or Registered Nurse (RN), PharmD, or other clinical credentials and/or certifications; state licensure as required per state)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong influencing and collaboration skills with the ability to build and nurture relationships
  • Demonstrated skill educating in a clinical setting (both providers and patients)
  • Team-oriented with proven ability to work in a collaborative setting
  • Ability to solve complex problems and take appropriate action
  • Ability to execute territory business strategy
  • Proficiency with technology (both large data systems as well as personal devices, such as insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years’ experience conducting training in a clinical setting and/or managing insulin pump patients
  • Prior experience in a commercial role in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry

Responsibilities

  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including endocrinologists, primary care providers, and diabetes management teams in hospitals, clinics, and private practices.
  • Educate healthcare providers on diabetes management, including the latest technologies and best treatment practices to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care.
  • Expand professional network and credibility within the diabetes community by participating in local events and initiatives.
  • Schedule and deliver personalized training to patients on the proper use and care of Insulet products, ensuring patient confidence and understanding.
  • Assess patient needs and customize training programs to accommodate varying levels of familiarity with the device.
  • Provide ongoing support and education, including follow-up consultations to address questions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure successful long-term device usage.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure training aligns with clinical treatment plans and patient care routines.
  • Empower patients to manage their condition effectively by explaining device features, functionality, and best practices.
  • Evaluate and recommend Certified Pod Trainers (CPTs) for consultant roles.
  • Oversee CPTs by providing product updates and serving as a clinical resource.
  • Utilize multiple data sources to inform education strategy and actions.
  • Maintain and update data systems, such as Salesforce, to capture training metrics.
  • Manage administrative responsibilities and operations within budgetary guidelines.
  • Promote the benefits of insulin pump therapy to healthcare providers and patients to empower decision-making.
  • Collaborate with territory partners to achieve shared sales goals, contributing clinical expertise to strategy development.
  • Champion patient success stories to demonstrate the impact of Insulet’s solutions and drive product adoption.
  • Execute field sales activities with a strategic, patient-centered approach, ensuring alignment with guidelines and maximizing impact.
