The coordinator analyzes data to prioritize multi-issue situations, supports the development of patient-specific clinical plans of care, and ensures effective communication among all parties involved to promote quality patient outcomes and satisfaction. They also support clinical staff in implementing care plans, coordinate care delivery, and evaluate progress towards outcomes. Additionally, the role supports billing compliance by maintaining knowledge of payer requirements and regulations, performing timely workflow completion, and identifying opportunities for appropriate reimbursement. Delegation of care elements to appropriate healthcare workers is also a key function, along with collaborating with healthcare consumers, families, and others in clinical practice. The coordinator utilizes appropriate resources to plan and provide safe, effective, and financially responsible clinical services and participates in committees and decision-making activities.
