This unit provides the opportunity to care for acute and intermediate conditions, titrate high risk drips, heart failure management (including post-heart transplant), and care for patients requiring continuous telemetry. Our high acuity patient volume allows for low nurse-patient ratios promoting the safety and satisfaction of our patients, families, and staff. In addition, our interdisciplinary team provides patients with the very latest evidence-based practice and most advanced technology. Our registered nurses receive additional training to give them the knowledge and tools to succeed, such as an ECG class, an acute care class, a PCU Class that includes invasive monitoring, LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device) training and ACLS certification.
