About The Position
The Clinical Coordinator, under the direction of the Manager, is primarily accountable for the system navigation and coordination of patient flow on the Nursing unit. This is achieved by the Coordinator having an ongoing awareness and involvement in workflow of the unit. Duties include bed management, discharge planning, advocating for the patient/family, identifying supply and equipment needs and assisting with Staff Scheduling.
Requirements
- Three (3) years charge nurse experience
- Three (3) years experience in the specific clinical area
- Five years recent acute or community nursing experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
- Advanced Communication skills
- Advanced Mediation skills
- Advanced Leadership skills
- Advanced Problem solving skills
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions
- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to work independently
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
Nice To Haves
- Nursing diploma is acceptable
