About The Position

The Clinical Resource Nurse assists the manager in planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the day-to-day operation of the patient care unit. The nurse serves as a positive professional role model, demonstrating clinical leadership and decision-making skills, and acts as a resource for departmental records, scheduling, staff development, and special projects. The role staffs operating room cases 50% of the time, with dedicated office time, and is responsible for call shifts. The position is scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of applicable experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Registered Nurse credential.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Assist the manager with planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the day-to-day operation of the patient care unit.
• Serve as a positive professional role model and demonstrate clinical leadership and decision-making skills.
• Provide a resource for maintaining departmental records, scheduling, staff development, and special projects.
• Staff operating room cases 50% of the time and perform dedicated office work for the remaining time.
• Cover call shifts.
