Clinical Research RN - Tumor Research Institute
About The Position
Independently coordinates research and administrative tasks in support of one or more research studies across multiple locations. The role may require travel in the employee’s own vehicle. The Clinical Research RN works with study investigators and a supervisor to address study-related issues and provides backup support to other coordinators as needed. The position supports department financial performance through budgeting and billing, as directed. It may also involve developing specialized research instruments and assisting with scientific manuscripts or presentations. The work may entail regular after-hours support, occasional on-call work, and occasional overnight business travel. The position is with Swedish Research, part of Providence Swedish, whose culture emphasizes patient-focused, whole-person care, understanding, commitment, mutual respect, and empowering caregivers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing. Applicants without a BSN must actively pursue and attain one within five years of hire; continued employment by Swedish beyond five years is contingent upon attaining the BSN. Registered Nurses employed by Swedish before December 1, 2012 are encouraged to pursue a BSN, but it is not a condition of employment.
- Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- Two years of experience in a nursing specialty consistent with the specified research field.
