About The Position

The Certified Mobile Research Nurse (CMRN) is a per diem/PRN Registered Nurse position with EmVenio. The nurse schedules appointments within the required visitation window and completes mobile visits for adult study participants. The role involves working cooperatively with Clinical Project Managers, Coordinators, and site personnel to complete visits and submit accurate source documentation. Mobile visits include blood specimen collection and processing; the nurse picks up dry ice before each visit and drops it off at UPS afterward. Visits must be completed Monday through Wednesday during standard business hours. No research experience is required, and on-the-job training is provided.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Two years of experience starting and performing phlebotomy/peripheral blood draws, IVs, and subcutaneous injections; recent practice within six months is preferred.
• One year of experience collecting vital signs, ECGs, and urine samples, and performing urine pregnancy tests.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state(s) of practice, maintained throughout employment.
• Skill in collecting accurate, detailed patient records, including medical history and medication charting.
• Excellent observational, verbal, and written communication skills, and problem-solving ability.
• Current CPR certification, maintained throughout employment.
• Current TB test, maintained throughout employment.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Licensed driver with a good driving record, automobile insurance in accordance with state and/or agency requirements, and a vehicle in good repair.
• Ability to speak other languages.
• Recent practice of phlebotomy/peripheral blood draws, IVs, and subcutaneous injections within the past six months.
