Requirements

  • Licensed Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • Recent bedside experience
  • Willingness to commute to two locations in Massachusetts Boston area

  • Clinical research experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Work under the supervision of physician principal investigators and clinical nurse manager on the conduct of pharmaceutical-sponsored clinical trials in accordance with FDA regulations and GCP guidelines.
  • Perform IV catheterization and drug infusion.
  • Administer injections.
  • Perform phlebotomy.
  • Review medical records and lab results.
  • Reconcile medications.
  • Act as a medical liaison.
  • Work closely with other members of the study team, providing mentoring, direction, and guidance to clinical research coordinators.
  • Facilitate the informed consent process.
  • Administer screening procedures.
  • Perform data entry.
  • Maintain regulatory binders.
  • Perform other nursing functions as required in support of the clinical trial.
  • IV placement, initiation and management of IV infusions per sponsor provided protocol.
  • Assist with difficult phlebotomy and IV placement for phlebotomy.
  • Administration of subcutaneous or intramuscular injections.
  • Medical record review.
  • Assist with collection of AEs, concomitant medications, medical history.
  • Provide medical support on site.
  • Uphold GCP.
