About The Position

We are seeking a clinical research coordinator to work full-time. Our studies include developing and testing brain stimulation therapies and digital monitors for cognitive and affective (including obsessive compulsive disorder) disorders. The clinical research coordinator will work closely with the principal investigators, Dr. Bijan Pesaran and Dr. Katherine Scangos. The clinical research coordinator (CRC) may be trained to conduct symptom provocation studies, EEG recordings, administer focused ultrasound, and collect physiological and digital data. Primary responsibilities include collecting, maintaining, and organizing all questionnaires, assessments, and physiological data of the participants. Additionally, the coordinator will prepare and submit IRB documents, conduct recruitment, screening, and enrollment of potential study patients. Position is contingent on continued funding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of IRB and neuroimaging analysis, Python and/or MatLab is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and conduct clinical studies, includes; subject recruitment, informed consent, chart maintenance and data entry
  • Coordinate IRB submissions and renewals in accordance with FDA and IRB guidelines
  • Assure compliance with the protocol and regulatory requirements includes: collecting, recording, and maintaining data and source documentations.
  • Oversee study preparation and blood sample processing and analysis
  • Database management and analysis
  • Ordering and stocking supplies, maintaining equipment
  • Educate patients and family members
  • Promote good clinical practice in the conduct of clinical investigations, included possessing an in-depth knowledge of the federal regulations and guidance documents for the conduct of clinical studies and human subject protection
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
