About The Position

The Academic Research Center for Hematology (ARCH) at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Temporary Clinical Research Coordinator to support clinical research focused primarily on sickle cell disease and other hematological disorders. This role plays a key part in the coordination and execution of investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored clinical studies.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day activities for clinical research studies, including study startup, participant visits, data collection, and study closeout.
  • Support recruitment, screening, informed consent, scheduling, and retention of research participants.
  • Maintain accurate study documentation, enter data into study databases, and ensure timely query resolution. Assist with study finance tracking.
  • Assist with IRB submissions, protocol amendments, adverse event reporting, and ensure compliance.
  • Work closely with investigators, clinical staff, sponsors, and research team members to support high-quality, patient-centered research.
