This position will work with the National Center of Clinical Trials to gather their business and technical requirements and help design new technologies. Help create and implement their technology roadmap. The role involves conducting business operational/technical needs and workflow analysis and cost impact analyses to align information technology with business initiatives, as well as formulating practical requirements for operational improvements. The analyst will configure, implement, and evaluate business information systems, projects, timelines, and budgets. They will translate business requirements into functional specifications and manage changes to these specifications. Additionally, the role involves formulating and defining project scope and objectives through research and fact-finding, combined with an understanding of applicable business needs. Project management principles will be applied to create project plans for routine projects and manage workflow and meet deadlines. The analyst will create tasks, work estimates, and recommend resource assignments, modifying them as needed to ensure project success and communicating changes. Cost-benefit and return on investment analyses will be performed for proposed systems. The effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems will be reviewed, and strategies for improvement or leveraging current systems will be developed. Data integrity, report audits, and data analysis will be performed to support data requirements and initiatives. Recommendations for new applications or design modifications will be made to enhance business operational needs. Communication with stakeholders from initial requirements to final implementation will be facilitated, ensuring successful implementation, administration, and documentation of new and existing applications within defined project scope. The analyst will serve as a liaison between business operations and providers, internal information technology, system users, and vendors for coordination, problem resolution, system maintenance, and case/point resolution. They will troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex and complex application issues, escalating more complex issues to specialty information technology teams and/or vendors. Collaboration with specialty information technology teams and/or vendors will occur to facilitate practices and procedures for successful conversions, updates, application recovery procedures, and hardware functionality assessments. Consultation with providers, leadership, physicians, and other clinical/business leaders will be provided to identify problems and offer resolutions related to equipment, applications, networks, and functions.
