The Clinical Registered Nurse (RN) II is responsible for managing individualized patient care by promoting and restoring patients' health in accordance with medical and nursing plans of care and established policies and procedures. The Clinical RN II collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members in the development, execution, and evaluation of the multidisciplinary plan of care. The RN assumes a full patient assignment and can plan, analyze, intervene and set goals for patient care accordingly. This nurse provides nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the Virginia Board of Nursing. This RN maintains a safe care environment for their patients (clients) and delivers quality care. The unit specializes in caring for medically complex patients who require extended hospitalization and advanced clinical care, including those recovering from critical illness needing ongoing respiratory support, complex wound care, intravenous therapies, cardiac monitoring, dialysis, and comprehensive rehabilitation services. The unit utilizes the LEAF system for patient monitoring and provides bedside dialysis treatments using TABLO dialysis machines.
