About The Position

RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is seeking a Part-Time Clinical Registered Dietitian to provide nutrition services to nine group home programs in New York. This position offers flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful clinical impact, with a combination of short onsite visits and remote work. The role involves approximately 75% remote work, with flexible scheduling for 5-8 hours per week. Compensation is $40.00–$45.00 per hour, with compensated travel time and mileage reimbursement. The service area covers nine group homes in New York, requiring short monthly onsite visits for tasks such as kitchen sanitation reviews, while documentation, care planning, and administrative responsibilities can be completed remotely.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Registered Dietitian credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in clinical nutrition assessment and documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with state survey processes and nutrition care regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans.
  • Monitor residents' nutritional status and provide follow-up recommendations as appropriate.
  • Provide nutrition education and counseling to residents, caregivers, and staff.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident health and wellness.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to promote optimal nutrition outcomes.
  • Review menus and provide recommendations to ensure nutritional adequacy and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct kitchen sanitation reviews and provide recommendations for improvement as needed.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation.
  • Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and within the Registered Dietitian scope of practice.
