About The Position

Southern New Hampshire Medical Center's Nutrition Department is central to the hospital, providing nourishment with compassion. Clinical Dietitians act as nutrition advocates, collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver personalized, evidence-based care aligned with patient medical goals. They work with the Food Services team to ensure meals meet dietary needs and create a comforting environment, reflecting a commitment to patient-centered care and well-being. This role involves providing nutritional care through medical record review, clinical assessment, diet education, and communication with healthcare staff, determining the appropriateness of nutritional support and supplementation.

Requirements

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from an accredited program required
• Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) accredited dietetic internship
• Must be license eligible
• Licensed in the state of New Hampshire within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Completes nutrition screening within the established timeframe and conducts the nutrition assessment when warranted.
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of metabolism and nutrition in relation to specialized area of patient care.
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of food chemistry and macro, micro-nutrient composition for successful alteration of dietary program in a highly specialized population.
• Participates as part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide integrated, patient-focused care.
• Exhibits knowledge of food production and service systems in relation to safe, nutritious food products for patients.
