This position is within the Subacute Unit, focusing on providing short-term, high-acuity assessment and stabilization for children and youth up to the age of 19 with Tier-4 mental health and addiction challenges. The role involves assessments, case formulation, planning, and delivering evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy. Responsibilities also include consultation, program evaluation, implementing measurement-based care, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Psychologists are expected to participate in training residents, and candidates may be considered for academic adjunct appointments at Dalhousie University. This position will initially support Adolescent Intensive Services until the Subacute Unit is operational.
