About The Position

We are seeking a licensed clinical psychologist (PhD/PsyD) to conduct autism diagnostic evaluations for Adults, Teens, and Children via telehealth. This is a unique opportunity to be the founding diagnostician and build this function from the ground up. Families often face long waiting times for autism evaluations, and this role is crucial in bridging the gap between identifying a potential need and starting care. As the first diagnostician at Finni Health, you will play a key role in shaping the diagnostic process and its associated tools.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree (PhD/PsyD) in psychology from an APA-accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a psychologist in good standing, with no disciplinary actions.
  • Licensed in New Mexico, or licensed elsewhere and eligible/willing to obtain NM licensure (company will pay for this).
  • Demonstrated experience diagnosing Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Strong assessment, clinical interviewing, and report-writing skills.
  • Comfort working independently in a remote setting.
  • Real fluency with software.
  • Excellent judgment, empathy, and communication skills with families.
  • Availability to work as a 1099 contractor.

Nice To Haves

  • PSYPACT participation or eligibility.
  • Experience with telehealth-delivered diagnostic evaluations.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based autism assessment tools (ADI-R, CARS-2, BOSA/TELE-ASD-PEDS, or similar).
  • Experience serving diverse pediatric and family populations, including Medicaid.
  • Interest in building systems, processes, and standards from the ground up.
  • Prior startup or early-stage company experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive autism diagnostic evaluations via telehealth for children and adolescents.
  • Review developmental, behavioral, medical, educational, and family history.
  • Administer and interpret evidence-based diagnostic tools and clinical assessments.
  • Write clear, timely diagnostic reports suitable for payer and school review.
  • Deliver findings and next steps to caregivers with warmth and clarity.
  • Coordinate with referring providers.
  • Build the diagnostic protocols, report templates, and quality standards for the function.
  • Collaborate with product and ops teams to enhance the tooling for evaluations.
  • Focus on evaluations while administrative tasks like scheduling, insurance, billing, and credentialing are handled by the company.
