About The Position

This role involves providing comprehensive psychological services within a Military Treatment Facility (MTF). The Clinical Psychologist will adhere to professional ethical guidelines and licensing board protocols, conduct psychological evaluations, formulate diagnoses, deliver evidence-based interventions, and support patient rehabilitation.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
• Successful completion of an APA-accredited internship in psychology.
• A minimum of 1 year of post-licensure experience as a clinical psychologist.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist in any U.S. state.
• Valid certification as a Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC).
• Ability to successfully undergo and pass a government background check for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the protocols established by the state licensing board, the ethical guidelines outlined by the American Psychological Association (APA), and the privileges granted by the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
• Execute comprehensive psychological evaluations by integrating data from clinical interviews, standardized psychological assessments, and relevant collateral information.
• Formulate psychiatric diagnoses based on criteria from the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).
• Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions for individuals and groups, aiding medical and surgical patients in coping with diagnoses and recovery processes.
• Support the rehabilitation efforts of patients throughout their treatment journeys.
