About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Clinical Psychologist-Post Deployment Health Reassessment (PDRHRA) at Jacksonville Naval in Jacksonville, FL. This position is in a highly desired location with a low cost of living. The schedule is Monday-Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with no on-call duties. This role offers a chance to give back and care for our Nation's armed forces.

Requirements

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (APA required)
Successful completion from an internship in Psychology (APA required)
BLS Certification from AHA Required
Have a minimum of one year experience in an independent practice of clinical psychology in a mental health setting working with an adult population
Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State

Responsibilities

Provide deployment health screening services to all service members
Participate in outreach of PDRHRA programs
Screen patients, provide treatment when appropriate, educate returning units on availability of service and coordinate follow up care
Communicate with Line Commanders to make them aware of the clinic and clarify who is eligible to receive services
Participate in educational sessions for returning Units on deployment on realities of readjusting to life following deployment
Ensure all service members that require follow up appointments have them before leaving Deployment Clinic
Emphasis on treating mental health for post-traumatic stress disorders and other combat related psych symptoms
May be required to travel within a 50 mile radius of the hospital for temporary service at clinics or off site trainings
