About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Clinical Psychologist-Post Deployment Health Reassessment (PDRHRA) at Jacksonville Naval in Jacksonville, FL. This position offers a highly desired location with a low cost of living, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. The role involves providing deployment health screening services, participating in outreach for PDRHRA programs, screening patients, providing treatment, educating returning units on available services, and coordinating follow-up care. The psychologist will communicate with Line Commanders to inform them about the clinic and clarify eligibility for services. Emphasis is placed on treating mental health for post-traumatic stress disorders and other combat-related psychological symptoms. Travel within a 50-mile radius may be required for temporary service at clinics or off-site trainings.

Requirements

• Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (APA required)
• Successful completion from an internship in Psychology (APA required)
• BLS Certification from AHA Required
• Have a minimum of one year experience in an independent practice of clinical psychology in a mental health setting working with an adult population
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State

Responsibilities

• Provide deployment health screening services to all service members
• Participate in outreach of PDRHRA programs
• Screen patients, provide treatment when appropriate, educate returning units on availability of service and coordinate follow up care
• Communicate with Line Commanders to make them aware of the clinic and clarify who is eligible to receive services
• Participate in educational sessions for returning Units on deployment on realities of readjusting to life following deployment
• Ensure all service members that require follow up appointments have them before leaving Deployment Clinic
• Emphasis on treating mental health for post-traumatic stress disorders and other combat related psych symptoms
• May be required to travel within a 50 mile radius of the hospital for temporary service at clinics or off site trainings
