This position is located at Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma Washington Directorate of Branch Clinics, Clinic of Family Medicine. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA. The region offers the attractions of larger metropolitan areas, with a hometown feel. World-class museums, hotels and theaters draw thousands to downtown Tacoma while the shores of the Puget Sound and Mount Rainier inspire outdoor enthusiasts. Requirements

• US Citizens
• Degree: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
• Current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction.
• At least one year of specialized experience, which includes conducting psychological evaluations, developing behavioral health treatment plans, and providing psychological counseling services.
• Must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Clinical Psychologist Mental Health Consultant (MHC) for the Clinic and Mental Health System of Care (MHSOC) Primary Care Mental Health (PCMH) program.
• Provide individual and group treatment, using various modalities as clinically indicated to include brief problem-focused interventions, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and psychoeducational classes.
• Assess and provide intervention for individuals with a wide range of chronic medical conditions, and behavioral health issues affecting medical conditions to include assessment and disposition of beneficiaries with acute and chronic risk.
• Provide psychological and clinical consultation to physicians, other professionals and paraprofessionals through established consultation channels.

• Provide feedback to Primary Care Managers (PCMs) regarding consultation findings and recommendations as directed by the current DHA PCMH Administrative Instruction.
• Educate clinic staff on the principles of primary care behavioral health via trainings and briefings.
