Clinical Programs Coordinator | Lung Transplant | Days | Full-Time
About The Position
Ensures coordination and continuity of patient care for transplant patients in order to maintain organized and efficient support to staff and other health care professionals. Responsible for identifying the patient's alterations in health; assessing the patient's response to treatment protocols; communicating appropriate data to physician staff; implementing nursing interventions based upon established treatment protocols; and anticipating potential outcomes for patients at risk for complications. Must demonstrate ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to age-specific needs and organ(s) transplanted and provide care according to protocols and with practice of nursing. This positions assists with chronic disease management in an ambulatory setting.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited four (4) year, baccalaureate program in nursing required.
- ASN who is in the process of obtaining their BSN will be considered.
- Master's degree in nursing or Master's degree eligible (i.e. completion of academic coursework) or related health care field preferred.
- Current license as a registered nurse (R.N.).
- Minimum of three years of experience in nursing.
- At least two (2) years medical/surgical experience with transplant patient population.
- BSN or Bachelors in other heath related field required.
- ASN who is in the process of obtaining their BSN will be considered.
- Current RN license in the State of Florida ARNP or RN.
Nice To Haves
- Critical care or transplantation experience preferred.
- Prefer knowledge in transplant immunology, technical aspects of surgery, interpretation of diagnostic and laboratory data, and clinical management of patients.
