About The Position

The Clinical Program Manager supports the Adult Physician Outreach department, Adult Service Lines at VUMC, and the external referring community. This role, with guidance, helps promote and provide CME (Continuing Medical Education) and engagement activities to the external referring provider community. Responsibilities include day-to-day administrative operations, budgeting, and Workday tasks. Key duties involve fiscal accountability, maintaining quality, safety, and regulatory standards, supporting a high level of care and service, optimizing workflows for patient care, monitoring, analyzing, reporting, and improving department performance, and ensuring integration with the broader clinical enterprise strategy. The Physician Outreach and Connections Department at VUMC promotes Vanderbilt's services to clinicians in referral areas, shares information on new products and services, engages with community clinicians to understand their needs and strengthen relationships, and collaborates with VUMC leadership on strategic outreach plans to increase referrals and surgical growth. The team focuses on customer service, relationship building, service recovery, intelligence gathering, assisting in finding solutions, and representing VUMC to other medical communities.

Responsibilities

  • Provides budgetary management to the program.
  • Provides training and guidance for individuals supporting the program.
  • Promotes growth and expansion of the program.
  • Oversees the creation, coordination and execution of the program.
  • Assisting in coordinating CMEs/Conferences/Events.
  • Developing compliance and competency for the outreach department’s CME program.
  • Creating newsletters/invites.
  • Managing calendars, budgeting, ordering supplies and scheduling meetings.
