About The Position

The Clinical Program Manager is a mental health professional who provides and supervises the provision of intensive case management and mental health services to adult clients in clinic, outreach and home settings. In this capacity, the Clinical Program Manager has designated responsibilities for the daily operations of a supportive housing team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Housing Services, the Clinical Program Manager participates in program planning, implementation and evaluation, and takes a leadership role in the development of supportive housing services.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work with a license in Maryland as an LCSW-C
  • Registered supervisor with the Board of Social Work Examiners
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle
  • One year of experience providing supervision to staff and/or student learners required

Nice To Haves

  • Three years of experience in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of chronic mental illness and substance use disorders preferred
  • Three years of experience providing case management services to individuals with substance use and mental health disorders preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervises integrated teams of therapists, case managers and peers. Sets and reinforces clear expectations, monitors outcomes, creates a culture of open communication, and helps team members solve complex problems through individual supervision. Models the integration of Harm Reduction, Motivational Interviewing and Housing First into clinical practice.
  • Takes the lead in ensuring a safe and welcoming, recovery-oriented milieu for clients in the program. Demonstrates positive regard and respect for clients through speech and actions, utilizing a client-centered, non-judgmental, trauma informed approach. Coordinates case conferencing to address challenging client behavior in a manner that balances trauma informed care and harm reduction practices with staff and client safety.
  • Provides behavioral health assessments, clinical interventions and intensive case management services to a caseload of clients. Involves clients in the development and implementation of an integrated treatment plan using SMART goals. Completes documentation within the electronic health record in a manner that is easy to understand and in accordance with established formats and required timeframes.
  • Assists with developing and implementing program changes and performance improvement activities.
  • Completes intake assessments with newly referred clients. Assists with onboarding eligible clients to the Housing Services program.
  • Ensures that all services delivered are clinically appropriate and authorized as required by the public mental health system and other third party payers.
  • Assists the Senior Director of Housing Services to develop and monitor grants and other financial initiatives designed to support the work of the agency.
