About The Position

Under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, the Clinical Pharmacy Technician II assists with ensuring smooth and accurate pharmacy operations in accordance with Option Care Health policies and procedures, and state professional standards and regulations. The role processes new prescriptions and refills, prepares pharmaceuticals and supplies, maintains inventory, supports patients, and maintains a clean and organized work area. The position also provides training to Clinical Pharmacy Technician I's. The position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 6 months of relevant experience.
Must be licensed or registered if required by the state.
Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
Ability to perform basic and intermediate mathematical calculations.
Excellent organizational skills.
Basic-level skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time; frequent bending, stooping, and reaching; ability to carry at least 30 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Previous home health experience.

Responsibilities

Process prescription refills for drugs, PN/high risk, heparin/saline, and process new drug prescriptions.
Count, pour, and mix pharmaceuticals; package products into appropriate containers and label containers.
Provide training to Clinical Pharmacy Technician I's.
Validate and report incoming supplies to maintain accurate inventory levels; develop purchase orders to address shortages; validate removal of expired supplies and materials; schedule deliveries.
Collect and maintain patient data and information for assessments; respond to non-routine patient questions and requests.
Clean and sanitize surfaces and laminar hood flows; clean and organize supplies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
