About The Position

Orlando Health is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to help develop, implement, and enhance clinical pharmacy services while serving as a key resource for providers, patients, and pharmacy team members. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required
  • Two (2) years of ASHP-accredited residency or fellowship training in a specialty area
  • One (1) year ASHP-accredited residency plus one (1) or more years of specialty practice experience
  • Five (5) years of clinical pharmacy experience consistent with organizational needs
  • Florida Pharmacist License required or ability to obtain within four (4) months of hire

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain clinical pharmacy services at the assigned practice site
  • Provide pharmacotherapy and pharmacokinetic consultations to physicians and healthcare providers
  • Support clinical decision-making to improve patient outcomes and medication safety
  • Assist with nutritional support consultations as appropriate
  • Monitor and document clinical activities to support accreditation and quality initiatives
  • Educate and mentor pharmacists, residents, students, and interns
  • Develop policies, procedures, clinical guidelines, and pharmacy programs
  • Participate in multidisciplinary committees and patient care initiatives
  • Support pharmacy and medical resident training through rounds and educational programs
  • Engage in continuous professional development and clinical practice advancement
