The Clinical Pharmacist in Specialty Pharmacy is responsible for providing advanced pharmaceutical care to patients with complex health conditions requiring treatment with high-cost, high-touch specialty medications. The pharmacist provides education and clinical support to patients via telephone encounters, performs clinical prescription order verification, and serves as a drug information resource for patients, nurses and medical staff. The pharmacist also participates in quality improvement and strategic planning activities, which promote optimal patient care, teamwork, and shared key values. This position will focus primarily in the inflammatory service line, working in-clinic 2-3 days per week, and remote the remaining days. Coverage within other clinical areas may also be required.
