Requirements

  • Bachelors Of Science Pharmacy, upon hire or Doctor Of Pharmacy Pharmacy, upon hire
  • Pharmacist: WA, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Provide a high-quality level of comprehensive clinical pharmaceutical services.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment based on professional, departmental, and organizational principles and standards.
  • Coordinate subordinate activities by providing direction and guidance on departmental operational activities.
  • Provide pharmacy services for the night shift at your assigned facility.
  • Consistently apply knowledge and expertise to ensure excellent pharmaceutical care and effective departmental operations.
  • Document clinical activities and interventions such as consults, patient teachings and other patient specific information as defined by policy and procedure.
  • Interpret medication orders and/or prescriptions for drug interactions, appropriate drug selection and appropriateness.
  • Accurately enter / verify the order or prescription into the computer system, label, and dispense medications in a timely manner.
  • Verify and check medications prepared by other pharmacy personnel.
  • Communicate drug information to patients and health professionals.
  • Resolve drug related problems by consulting with other health care professionals to achieve appropriate patient outcomes.
  • Clarify unclear orders written by a licensed provider with the licensed provider.
  • Assist the licensed provider in appropriate drug selection and therapeutic regimens.
  • Achieve and maintain an adequate basic knowledge base to provide clinical services for all age groups served.
  • Provide basic clinical services as required by policy and procedure.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of automated systems.
