About The Position

This position is for a Clinical Pharmacist in the Emergency Department, working overnight shifts. The role involves communicating effectively, building positive professional relationships, and modeling teamwork. Key responsibilities include timely and accurate medication distribution, verification of medication orders, and oversight of pharmacy technician responsibilities. The pharmacist will provide clinical pharmacy services for safe and efficient patient care, ensuring the accuracy of their work, maintaining competencies, and supporting quality improvement and patient safety standards. Ongoing professional development is expected, along with managing one's own time and contributing to minimizing pharmaceutical costs and discovering process efficiencies. The role also requires responding to medical emergencies as available and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy Required
Other Pharm D. Required
CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required.
PHAR- Pharmacist upon hire required.
Must be proficient in written and verbal English language communication skills, computer proficient and possess basic math skills.

Nice To Haves

3 years of hospital experience or residency preferred.

Responsibilities

Not only the management of one's own time but shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.
Respond to medical emergencies per hospital policy as available.
