About The Position

The Clinical Pharmacist - ED Overnight position at Texas Health Fort Worth is a critical role within a top-tier pharmacy department known for its culture of excellence. This high-acuity, high-volume, fast-paced environment provides a full range of patient care services. The role involves effective communication, building positive professional relationships, and role-modeling teamwork. Key responsibilities include timely and accurate medication distribution, including medication order verification and oversight of pharmacy technician responsibilities. The pharmacist will provide clinical pharmacy services for safe and efficient patient care, ensuring the accuracy of their work and maintaining required competencies and documentation. Consistent support of the department's quality improvement and patient safety standards programs and initiatives is also required. The role also involves ongoing professional development and growth, managing one's own time, minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage), and discovering new process efficiencies. The pharmacist will also respond to medical emergencies per hospital policy as available and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy Required
  • Other Pharm D. Required
  • CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required.
  • PHAR- Pharmacist upon hire required.
  • Must be proficient in written and verbal English language communication skills, computer proficient and possess basic math skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of hospital experience or residency preferred.
