About The Position

St. Mark's Hospital is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join its hospital pharmacy team. The pharmacist interacts with patients, their significant others, and healthcare team members while maintaining professional standards and serving patients of all ages. The role provides prescribed medications, drugs, and other supplies for appropriate patient care; compounds and dispenses medications and other pharmaceuticals; and transcribes physician prescriptions and medication orders into the CPCS system to generate distribution labels. The pharmacist also serves as a drug information resource for patients, medical staff, nursing staff, and ancillary department personnel, and advocates for patient therapy while supporting continuous quality improvement in pharmacy services. The schedule is seven days on and seven days off, working evenings.

Requirements

Pharmacist (PHARM-CS) qualification.
Pharmacist - Controlled Substance qualification.

Responsibilities

Interact with patients, their significant others, and healthcare team members while maintaining professional standards in serving patients of all ages.
Provide prescribed medications, drugs, and other supplies as needed for appropriate patient care according to professional standards and practices.
Compound and dispense prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals for patient care, performing related duties.
Transcribe physician prescriptions and medication orders into the CPCS system to generate labels for medication distribution.
Act as a drug information resource to patients, medical staff, nursing staff, and ancillary department personnel.
Serve as a patient therapeutic advocate and support continuous quality improvement of pharmacy services.
