About The Position

Texas Health is hiring a full-time Clinical Pharmacist for the Pharmacy Department at Texas Health HEB in Bedford, Texas. The position works evening hours from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in eight-hour shifts, including rotating weekend evening shifts. The pharmacist supports medication distribution and clinical pharmacy services to help provide safe, efficient patient care, while contributing to teamwork, quality improvement, patient safety, and process efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D.
• Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency.
• Pharmacist license required upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• Three years of experience as a hospital pharmacist, with expertise or training in a specialty area strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively, build positive professional relationships, and role-model teamwork.
• Provide timely and accurate medication distribution support, including medication order verification and oversight of pharmacy technician responsibilities.
• Provide clinical pharmacy services for safe and efficient patient care.
• Ensure the accuracy of one's own work and maintain required competencies and documentation.
• Support department quality improvement and patient safety standards, programs, and initiatives.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and growth.
• Manage one's own time and help minimize pharmaceutical costs, including wastage, and identify process efficiencies.
• Respond to medical emergencies in accordance with hospital policy, as available.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
