About The Position

The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients by ensuring the safe, effective, and evidence-based use of medications. This role collaborates closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes, promote medication safety, and support high-quality patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings. The Clinical Pharmacist serves as a medication expert, providing clinical recommendations, patient counseling, and support for medication management initiatives within MUSC Health Orangeburg. The position aligns with organizational goals of delivering exceptional patient-centered care and advancing clinical excellence.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy or a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy.
  • Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.

Responsibilities
