Clinical Pharmacist - Inpatient - Per Diem
About The Position
The Clinical Pharmacist - Inpatient position is based at Highland Park Hospital and is per diem, as needed. The pharmacist dispenses medications in response to physician orders and provides clinical pharmacy services, including drug information, dose preparation, and checking work completed by technicians before dispensing. The role also prepares, compounds, and dispenses medications in accordance with department policy and applicable Board of Pharmacy, Department of Public Health, and JCAHO rules and regulations. The schedule includes rotating day and evening shifts, with rotating weekends and holidays required.
Requirements
- Current Illinois Registered Pharmacist license.
- At least one year of experience as a registered pharmacist, or previous hospital experience with limited time away from institutional practice.
- Ability to prioritize orders, perform multiple tasks, and work in a team environment.
Nice To Haves
- PharmD degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Pharmacy Practice Residency or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
