About The Position
Performs drug distribution, documentation, and compounding duties to meet the needs of patients and staff. Reviews, compounds, dispenses, and monitors medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, accounting for age-related dosing variations, nutritional needs, and disease states. Supervises pharmacy technicians, including monitoring orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Maintains competency and pursues self-development in professional pharmacy practice. Provides patient-focused clinical care throughout the hospital to help ensure optimal medication therapy.
Requirements
- Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a bachelor's degree or higher in pharmacy.
- Licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of Georgia upon hire.
