Clinical - Pharmacist (Prior Authorization)
About The Position
Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to review prior authorization requests using defined criteria and determine whether medications should be approved or denied. The role is a remote opportunity in the U.S. offered as a contract of 6+ months, with long-term potential. The pay range is $56–$59 per hour. The pharmacist is expected to meet a production goal of 90%, averaging 40 completed cases per day. Quality goals are 95% for Q1 2026 and 99% for Q2–Q4 2026. The pharmacist will collaborate with healthcare providers to support compliance and transparency in the authorization process, and contribute to a team culture centered on accountability, courage, curiosity, trust, and service.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in retail, hospital, managed care, or PBM settings.
- Bachelor’s or Doctorate of Pharmacy degree.
- Current pharmacist license in the applicable state, with no restrictions.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills, flexibility, and ability to learn quickly.
Nice To Haves
- Prior authorization review experience is preferred.
- Pharmacist licenses in NC, CA, NJ, AZ, KS, TX, IN, or GA are preferred.
- Familiarity with Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Excel is a plus.
